Produmex Scan Delivery – Scanning multiple UDF values per item, separated by commas
RespondidaWe use scanners to proceed with the delivery from the Sales Order.
We want to track the Pallet numbers per item per delivery document.
I believe it might be helpful to provide a sample of the process.
The idea is to print pallet labels with barcodes and process the delivery using scanners. Below is a sample of the steps involved:
1. Scan the Sales Order (SO) #
2. Scan the SAP FG item #
3. Scan the item quantity (cases per pallet)
4. Scan the pallet number (each pallet label will have a unique number, separated by commas)
5. Repeat the process for the required number of pallets
6. Validate the scanned information
7. Scan the tracking number for the delivery
8. Post the document
As a result, we will have the delivery document #123, with tracking # abc, showing the FG item 1234-C24355, quantity 2000 cases, and pallets 1, 2, 26, 11, 3, 84, etc. (typically, 20 pallets per load).
The question is if is it possible to implement...

Hi Larysa,
Thanks for sharing the process — it gives good clarity. I believe what you want is feasible, at least partially, via a combination of Produmex Scan’s customization features+ best practices. Scan customization framework allows you to customize fields, validations or add extension logic (user queries, UDFs). Below is my response and caveats based on my current knowledge and Produmex documentation.
Here’s a refined version of your steps, with suggestions and references:
1. It is possible to scan set the focus on SO field (I think it is by default isn't it?) and then use the autoreload and press the "Next" button using the "validateafter" event of the input field.
2.Use GS1 Barcodes to select Item and preselect the item quantity on step 3.
4. We are letting out (intentionally or unintentionally) the bin selection of your proposed flow.
5. Possibility to add UDF at line level will be available in the roadmap soon (still not available at the product), therefore you could store pallet number per document line.
6.Possibility to collect data at document level as your tracking number is already available.
7. The logic of adding pallet line and document tracking numbers is something you would need to implement by yourself when scan is generating the delivery on SAP.
If you have any questions regarding the implementation, please contact our support team through the ticketing system. If additional assistance is required, a consultant can be involved to help you get the most out of the solution and ensure the as smoothest and simplest user experience as possible.
