Android APK for Produmex WMS No planeada
Over the years the handheld scanners with touch screens have greatly evolved from the Windows CE versions to the powerhouses they are today with Android as the current market leader.
Currently the only way to use Produmex WMS on an Android scanner is to install the Fat Client on a Windows machine and use the Android RDP APK to connect a to this windows machine and run the session.
It would be ideal to have a Produmex WMS APK that can run directly on the Android scanner and directly connect to the SAP B1 system without having an RDP session to a windows machine.

We are well aware of the limitations that come with using RDP in these environments, and I fully agree that a native Android application would be ideal. In fact, when I took on this role in 2022, this was one of the first areas I identified as a necessary improvement.
However, moving from an RDP-based architecture to a native solution is a significant effort, as it involves deep development and substantial changes to our infrastructure. We have evaluated this challenge, but it is likely that this change will be part of a broader evolution, where we also plan to leverage cloud technologies. Our goal is to offer a more robust and adaptable solution that not only includes a native Android application but also addresses future scalability and flexibility needs through the adoption of a cloud architecture.
If I would need to give a timeline horizon for this topic I would say 2026 but we will keep you informed of any developments on this front.
