Assign item version automatically in marketing documents

Currently the items are version control. When the client goes and creates a sales order, and enters the item, the i-version field in the row of the sales order does not populate automatically. It does not populate in the purchase order either when entering a purchase item with iversion.

It is my understanding that as long as the item has an i-version set in the item master data window (extended) and the iversion is "allowed" to be used in those forms, that it should be able to populate automatically.
