Automaticly pop up keyboard in WMS scanner app

We changed a setting on the scanner, that if they push a specific button the keyboard is shown. 

 

It would be nicer that if a input field is shown in the scanner this keyboard is pushed. Is this possible? Or is a change needed to make this possible?

 

In for example an internet browser this is automatic.

  Hi Ronald,

  We indeed have the same issue, when in produmex wms on the handheld we have to click the keyboard symbol within the Microsoft rd app for android to be able to type. 

  We are using full touchscreen android scanners (Casio) with function buttons. 

  Can you maybe share some tips and trick on how you made it possible to map a specific key to show the keyboard?

  We contacted the supplier of the scanner. We are using Newland scanners. And in the scanner we could change some settings with the Newland installer. we could change a setting for one of the function keys, so it now always shows the keyboard.

  Because it is done in the newland installer, I do not know if a Casio also has this functionality. I think you'd better ask your supplier if they have options for this.
