Dashboard - lock or freeze views for users?
AnsweredWe have a difficulty where we have general staff using dashboards. They use the resizing and close buttons on widgets. This ends up with them closing something (for instance a SQL report tile) where they are unable to open it again and the needs to get a manager who knows boyum to come and recreate the widget with the right report.
We understand there is presently no way you can stop users from moving, changing, resizing things on their dashboard but would it be possible to have some functionality where you can actually stop them doing so? Or possibly some way that their 'default view' can be saved so that they can restore the dashboard to a default which I have defined?
Thanks

Hi Adam
Thank you for the request... You are right, we do not have a system to lock the views in place. It is technically possible to do so let's see how many votes this receives.
As for resetting to a default setup, that is possible with the Dashboard View Manager: https://help.boyum-it.com/B1UP/dashboardtransfermanager.html

Hi Boyum Teams,
Indeed, this problem is quite annoying on a daily basis.
The possibility of prohibiting the closing of widgets would really be an advantage.
Hoping you can add this in a future update.Regards,
Guillaume

Hello,
Will there be any tool available that allows us to lock prepared views?
Users often close or break the dedicated dashboards we create, so it would be very helpful to have an option to lock them or apply some kind of permission restrictions.
Regards
Kamila
