TAB not displaying fields

We have built a TAB on the SAP B1 Activity form (9.3)  using Item placement tools - however from time to time the tab is displayed without any fields on it, and you have to sign off and on to get them back on the form. 

Are there any difference to other panels? - the panel has 50 UDF's on it, which i guess is a lot.

Any ideas?
