Print & Delivery: Email to multiple parties

Risky Biscuit

Hi folks,

We have a scenario where we define 3 email addresses to send to.
Emails #1 and #2 are fixed email addresses. While email #3 is a customer email address.
The problem we encountered was that if there is a typo (e.g., an extra ‘@’ symbol) in the email #3,
the other emails (#1 and #2) were not sent.

The task appeared in the Delivery Log, but not in the Error Log.
Putting the customer email address as CC or BCC also doesn't make business sense to us.
Is there a workaround for this? At least if email #3 failed, the other emails should still go through.

    Hello,

I would suggest to use Direct Email with a SQL statement that filters out any invalid email addresses using a RegEx statement or something. We do something similar but in an earlier stage, when a user fills in the email address field, see a part of the validation we do below. Hope this helps

    SELECT CASE

… WHEN ($[$107.8.0] LIKE_REGEXPR '^[A-Za-z0-9._%+-]+@[A-Za-z0-9.-]+\.[A-Za-z]{2,}$' AND $[$107.8.0] NOT LIKE '%..%' AND $[$107.8.0] NOT LIKE '.%@%' AND $[$107.8.0] NOT LIKE '%@.%') OR IFNULL($[$107.8.0],'') =''  THEN 'VALID' ELSE 'INVALID' END   FROM DUMMY
