Subject: B1 Print and Delivery – Authentication error on primary email account (exemple@azienda.it)
Environment: - SAP Business One 10.0 (10.00.191) FP 2202 (64-bit) - B1UP (B1 Usability Package) 2024.04 - Add-on: B1 Print and Delivery - Operating system: Windows Terminal Server - Email client: Outlook Problem description: The Windows user exemple@azienda.it has an Outlook profile on the terminal server with two email accounts configured, each with its own credentials: - exemple@azienda.it (personal account, default in the Outlook profile) - purchases@azienda.it (secondary account)
When B1 Print and Delivery attempts to authenticate using the credentials for pippo@azienda.it via interactive credentials, authentication fails completely and the email is not sent. If, on the other hand, the credentials for the purchases@azienda.it account are used, authentication is completed successfully. However, in this scenario, the email is actually sent via the Outlook client using the personal account (exemple@azienda.it) as the sender, rather than via the ‘purchases’ account used for authentication.
In summary: - Authentication with ‘exemple’ → always fails - Authentication with ‘purchases’ → authentication successful, but the email is actually sent from the ‘pippo’ account.
Questions for support: 1. What could be causing the authentication failure when using the credentials for the exemple@azienda.it account?
Are there any B1 Print and Delivery or B1UP logs we can check to isolate the error (e.g. credentials, MAPI/SMTP protocol, default Outlook profile)?
2. Is it a known behaviour that B1 Print and Delivery, whilst authenticating with a secondary account, subsequently sends emails via the Outlook profile’s default account? If so, how do we configure it correctly to use separate accounts?
3. Is there a specific configuration for Terminal Server environments with multi-account Outlook profiles that we should check? Thank you
