Use @STORE variables in external command UF Completed

I added a button to a SQL report and I need to be able to use $[$8.0.0] from the source document, but since it doesn't exist on the SQL report window it can't find it. I tried using a @STORE variable before opening the SQL report, but the external launcher UF type doesn't seem to support using @STORE variables. I'd like to be able to use @STORE functionality in the external launcher.
