Just to be sure I understand... You want the user-options to be on a per button basis?

Correct. It is a little confusing when you right-click and say modify function buttons and it bring up a window and you don't know that there is another window. It would be much easier if it worked just like the right-click option and users were set on each button all in one window and still globally for the form as it is now. Thank you very much.

I have the same issue - Need to allow different users / user groups access to each function button.  Just voted up this Feature Request.

I created a second Function Button - Configuration record for the screen (i.e. Formtype 134 has two FB - Configuration records) but it seems to only look at the first one.

You can do it that way, but one configuration needs to be set to "include" one group of people and set the other to "exclude" that same group of people.

The two configurations can have duplicate buttons also, but the differences will show on the appropriate configuration.

    Include "Jason"

    Button 1 , Button 2, Button 3, Button 4

    Exclude "Jason"

    Button 1, Button 2, Button 3

Also, if you click "Edit Function Buttons to this window", it will pull up the first configuration. You need to click on "B1 Usablity package/ Configuration overview" and you will see both configurations.

Let me know if you run into any issues. We have done this in a couple areas, but it is annoying with the two configurations. We usually resort to putting User specific function into Right-Click options instead since they are easier to control.

Thanks Jason.  Actually I had just setup that exact set of definitions you just described and then saw your post..  Agree it works but cumbersome to have a separate FB Configuration record for each User access scenario, my system needs 3 FB Configuration records for each screen.  If later something needs to changed then either one, two, or three FB Configuration records may need to be edited (depending on which FB option is changed).
