B1 Print and delivery save XML
AnsweredHello everyone,
(please excuse my English, I'm Dutch)
I'm using B1 Print and delivery multiple actions to produce a concept (A/R payable) email with two attachments, one PDF and one XML.
Our customers started asking if we could mail our invoices not only in PDF but also in XML format. As it now turns out the XML file that is attached to the concept mail is not cohering to any readable standard it seems.
The file cannot be imported into our customers software.
What standard is the XML that Boyum produces ?
Our customers can import XML files that adhere to the following standards: UBL 2.0 or UBL 2.1
Where can I change the standard that B1 Print and delivery uses so that our customers can import the XML file.
Thank you and best regards from the Netherlands
Fred
Update
After further investigation I figured out how this works. In Sap Crystal Reports it is possible to load extra export layouts for XML files (templates). These files have the XLS or XSLT extension, and basically they define the layout of the XML that Crystal Report produces, it is like a template. I have found other software manufacturers where you can download these XLS templates for CR so that the XML adheres to UBL 2.1 standard. But I can't find one that will work with Sap Business One.

Hi,
It seems you partially answered your own question here. But yes, we do use the crystal report template to generate the XML file. You can customize the XML format for the viewer to support UBL 2.1, but unfortunately, it's not something we can do.
Best regards,
Thomas

Hi Thomas
It's not that we don't wan't to do it ourself, the problem is I have no idea HOW to do it. Then again, I can't imagine that I am the first to run into this, there may be others that are willing to share their findings and perhaps a ready made XSL.
I started with Sap Business One last September, and the learning curve is steep, any help is greatly appreciated.
Best regards,
Fred

Hi,
I'll leave your comment here so anyone can share their knowledge. But if there isn't any comments, you need to ask SAP support for help with this request.
Best regards,
Thomas

Hi Fred (and Thomas),
Did you allready managed to send/save UBL 2.1 invoices in a correct format.
I am facing the same problem and I was wondering if you allready know where the XML crystal template for Boyum Print & Delivery can be changed to a working UBL 2.1 format.
Thomas, are there allready new features which can make this possible?
Best regards,

Hi,
Maybe create your own xml template using a query , save it externally and load the path.
