Outlook email, create activity on track not saving attachment - help please?
AnsweredI can successfully create an activity from an e-mail with attachments, they upload to dropbox/AWS and back down again ok.
Error 1 - I can open and see them in SAP, they seem to be missing the "path" if i try and open them from within out look though "Unexpected error displaying file: Object reference not set to an instance of an object" pops up.
Error 2 - I have tried the "create an activity on track" this looks as it if does the same but should be better, as the above the only difference is that the attachment is not moved to the "pending queue" so never gets uploaded and downloaded it only creats reference to the file and a 0kb file created.
Would it not be sensible if CRM can add 0kb file just to move the actual file if under as certain size??

Hi,
This forum is not intended for support questions, please contact your SAP partner instead.
Ps. it takes time for the attachments to synchronize to your SAP server, before that, you won't be able to open them. I also recommend updating the product to our newest version: https://b1crmforoutlook.com/preview/
In the latest version, we have 2 fixes for rare events where these attachments wouldn't synchronize. Please check the version log.
Best regards,
Thomas

Thank-you so much for you quick and informative reply, I will in future pass bugs through our agent but they are proving next to useless at present, as it is proving quick to google or ask on forums!
The preview update looks really great - keep up the fantastic work, I think we will be increasing our users shortly as the improved functionality is now useful for other departments!
Kind regards
Andrew
