BEAS Webservice

John Treweeks

Wouldn't it be great if BEAS had a webservice, ideally SOAP much like the HANA Service Layer? This would make integration with workshop machines/third party databases easy. The Data Integration Hub is great, but provides no feedback and can't be run event-based.

We use Automation software to run off an event such as a SQL trigger in an external database to then write to SAP Business One. But with BEAS I have to write to a staging database and wait for Data Integration Hub to read it in.

With a SOAP RESTful service, I could call that and get feedback as to whether it was successful or not and if success, what document number it created, which I could then feedback to the source.
