Binding a Custom Keyboard Shortcut to run a Macro UF (or other UF) or to the "Edit Menu" feature
AnsweredSAP B1 currently supports max 11 (F2-F12) custom keyboard shortcuts. It would be great if there was a feature either in the Universal Function window, in the Edit Menu screen or even in a custom window where we could bind any kind of keyboard shortcut to either a UF or a menu item.
This would allow for greater extensibility of the system, increased efficiency, automation and also to show off some cool integrations with keyboard tools, like using a Streamdeck or AutoHotKey.
I am a Adobe Premiere Pro user and their keyboard customisation options are probably the best in the business, worth checking it out as an example.

Hi Luca
Thank you for the request (and nice to hear for a like-minded person that also love keyboard shortcuts ;-) )... What you are asking for here can sort of already be done using the B1 Validation System and Macro's in that you can make a validation system with Form-type -1 (aka all screens) and then catch the event=KeyDown + what key and ctrl/alt modifier... And if that is pressed you can use a UF-Macro to open the screen.
The hard part here is that SAP have already user or reserved all the good shortcut combinations for themself (aka if you try to use them nothing will happen) :-( ... So they tend to get quite obscure and that is the reason we have not made a shortcut tool like this as an out of the box feature.

Hi Rasmus and thank you for your reply. I understand the challenges and I know you might have already considered such option.
I'm curious to know if, by creating a validation for all screens, there would be any significant impact on performance.
Thanks
Luca
