Dynamic default variables values
AnsweredI'd like to have, in addition to SQL Source as a combobox list, the possibility to use SQL to set a default value of the variables [%0],[%1], etc...
The value could then be changed by user or confirmed.
This come in handy very often in Crystal Report UFs.
Now I all I can think about is to save the values in a temporary table for the Crystal Report to pick up as parameters.

Agreed that this is a good idea. Any Boyum window that accepts parameters should have a column in the parameters window for default value that can accept dynamic syntax or SQL.

I fully agree. I've had to come up with very cumbersome workarounds to be able to provide default values to Universal Functions' variables, particularly for macros (it's easier for SQL Reports because their variable input forms can be handled by B1UP, whereas macros' ones can't).

Three years has passed since this request: has it ever been implemented?

I'd love to know if this will be (or have been) implemented.
