Possibility to add dynamic printer names Completed
To tackle a problem where forwarded printers get different names in the system, we should an option to set a printer that starts with certain words.
Now this prevents us from choosing a default printer to a crystal report (that would work with all users)

This is a major issue for us (which we never thought boyum could correct). If the above were possible, we could avoid costly vpn additions to our hosting.
This would be a great addition.
We have several customers that print labels to label printers. The label printers are not typically the default printer for a user, but each user would have a default label printer that they use when printing labels. If dynamic syntax were available we could store a default label printer name somewhere (user etc) and then assign this to the report during execution.
Currently we have multiple layouts each hard coded to a specific printer.

Would be a nice thing to have on standard "CR - Universal Functions" as well. The printer selection screen does not include that option in the UF screen.
Has this been considered or already implemented as suggested by Magnus? I still can't seem to find an option to use a dynamic printer name on the Crystal Reports Universal Function.
