This is unfortunately not something we currently have planned.

But if you wish to email out, why not instead use a Crystal Report and rest of B1 P&D functionality (the only real benefit to Letter is that the document is editable afterward but if you email/print you are not using the benefit anyway)

    Thank you for your request.
The development team have now added it to our internal planning-system for evaluation.

    Hi Rasmus,

If I create a Crystal Report, which type of document would I use if we want to send just the PDF/Word document to a specific list of customers and it is not related to any marketing documents? i.e. there is no Mass Delivery configuration for the type : Business Partner (Contact Persons).

Alternatively we could potentially use the Mail Merge functionality from Word but I was hoping if this could done via. P&D option.

    Thank you.

    Regards,
    Rameez

There is the custom and "Internal" (just the name, could be sent to anyone outside the company). You can learn more about these in this e-learning: https://youtu.be/gV0sHWWLayk

    Dear Rasmus,

The thing is that this would be much easier for the average user (i.e. me) to use for ad hoc mailings instead of messing with a Crystal Report to get that set up correctly.

For our organization, i.e. we would like to be able to inform customers if their parcel failed to ship on the planned day for whatever reason. Or if customers placed an order, but they have overdue invoices.

So this would a firm plus one from me (for what it's worth ;-) for this request.

I understand that a crystal report either linked to a function button or a mass delivery would be the way to go, but Crystal Reports is just a real pain to get into. (I'll have to admit that I am still a real SAP noob if it comes to the admin and configuration side of things.)

    Kind regards,

    Rene
