Printing Labels Answered

Rami Keyrouz

Would be very useful to print out items labels with no need to go to GRPO module, so we can use the same function we have currently when printing bin location labels.

    Hi Rami,

Thanks for the suggestion. Adding a new standard Scan functionality specifically for printing item labels outside of the GRPO flow would be difficult to prioritize at this stage.

That said, the scenario you describe is feasible using Produmex Scan customization, without requiring changes in the standard product. By using Scan custom buttons combined with printing, you can place the item label printing exactly in the flow that best fits your process.

A good example could be extending the Query Stocks flow, where the item, batch/serial and bin context is already available, and trigger the label printing from there:
    https://wiki.produmex.name/doku.php?id=implementation:scan:functional:client_functionalities#query_stocks

This approach is similar to how bin location labels are handled today and allows you to reuse existing Scan capabilities while keeping full flexibility on where and when labels are printed.

Let the support team know if you would like guidance on how to set this up using Scan customization.
