    It's quite simple:

SAP MRP does not support BEAS bills of materials, routings, or production orders.

Therefore, if you work with BEAS, you must use BEAS MRP.

    Hi Martin,

Thanks for your answer, sorry for not being clear, the question is more about what advantages BEAS MRP offer as compared to SAP B1 MRP e.g. in production BEAS has a lot good feature which SAP does not have.

    Cheers,

    Hi Abdul,

SAP MRP has its advantages, especially due to its 100% integration.

MRP takes a different approach, offers different options, and has a different operating concept.

Which is better depends on the requirements.

BEAS MRP has its strengths in the production area, as it utilizes the full functionality of BEAS Manufacturing, such as scheduling functions based on Advanced Production Planning, planning orders, variant production, and much more. It can support warehouse-based and order-based planning, as well as a mix of both.

MRP2 functionality, i.e., forecasting and calculating resource utilization, is of course also a highlight.

Conclusion: BEAS MRP definitely offers added value for the manufacturing industry.

I'm not aware of any precise comparison of the two MRPs.

What's much more important is whether the functionality the customer needs is covered.

There are also many videos and good documentation on this topic.
