Custom button linked to network drive Answered

Gregg Goede

Have a sales invoice custom button which is linked to drive map. When the button is activated it brings up windows explorer and a network folder

All network users in domain have access to folder, can browse

Was working, still works on all other workstations, Windows 7 and 8.1 and even 10

When user activates the link it goes to Documents Folder instead of network drive as if the path K:\SAPDocs  does not exit

Using windows 8.1 on a Windows 2008 server network with SAP 9.1 PL 5 and using Productivity pack 2015.0.6.0

    Here is the query

select path from bmSOPacket where docum=$[$8.0.0]

as a test removed the packet and changed to the remarks field and put in a path "K:\SAPDocs" and same issue

    select path where docum=$[$16.0.0]

    FYI

Changed the drive path to \\SOServer\SAPDocs instead of drive letter and it works.

Guess if local cached drives is stored perhaps using drive letters does not work??
