PBI 3784 - Mandatory Fields: Option to react in non Add/Update mode Completed
A user set the 'total' field as mandatory in Incoming Payment > Payment Means > Cash.
However, because the form is not on add/update mode when the screen opens, the user can click 'Ok' to close the form and no error on missing mandatory fields would pop up.
I have suggested to the user a custom validation to deal with this situation for now.

This functionality was added to B1UP 2016.05 (April)
For now custom validation is the way to go but we are looking at perhaps have one more option on the Mandatory Fields to check during OK mode (default off) for such scenarios...
