Batch Manufacturing Date in Reception Flow

To start, let me offer an explanation—not a justification—of why this happens. In most cases, it's because Produmex already had a field or logic in place when SBO later implemented it. This explains why we don't always adapt to certain fields or functionalities in our base software.

Regarding the request, this can often be resolved through customization. We have examples within our community, such as Beas data (in this case, Beas and SBO share the manufacturing date), which we copy to WMS batch attributes upon production receipt. Here's an example (I always strongly recommend keeping an eye on this page when considering solutions for project implementations) Beas-WMS: Receive from production an item with WMS Batch Attributes – Boyum Help Center (boyum-it.com)

Since there is a solution, I prioritize feature requests that lack one. However, it makes total sense so I will evaluate the effort required and make a decision.

This is needed for batch traceability.

    Hi Marta,

You could use batch attributes and make it mandatory. The systme will ask the date at reception and it would be linked to the batch number.

    Hi Francine,

We know that but SAP already has a field for the manufacturing date in its batch master.

You would need a custom process that updates the manufactured date in the SAP Batch with the value from the WMS Batch Attributes. Run on windows task scheduler. It would search for only SAP batches where the manufacturing date is blank. Would need to be done in SDK-compliant code.

    Not elegant but would work.

There is a manufacturing date field on PMX_ITRI.
