This already exist in the product. Take a look at the Report Action - Activity action: http://help.boyum-it.com/B1PrintAndDelivery/createactivityaction.html

I think I found the "Delivery Log" which is more of what I was looking fort.

The delivery log however doesn't indicate the exact wording on the email if someone previews it and changes something.  Maybe they add an additional attachment or some change in the wording or some other comment.

I think for most scenarios the delivery log works fine.  But even with the "Add an Activity" you aren't able to read the email form to have it auto generate an activity for the email correct?

Say you did a multi-step report action there isn't a way to do this?

Once B1P&D send it's request to Outlook that it need to create a draft the integration ends there. We can't track if someone make changes to that email (well technically we could but it would be a flawed system (what if change happen in web-access of Outlook, on phone or in outlook while SAP is not running)). So we will not extend it beyond what is currently there.

If you really really want to track then BCC to an internal mail is the only option (and even there if in draft it can be removed)

We are using the "preview" option first to view the email.  I tested that at that point you see the message and placeholders it's possible to change wording, etc. before outputting to a draft.

I understand the technical challenges of integration beyond SBO to Outlook.  So I agree that it doesn't make sense if they capture it after the draft.  BUT, they could edit it before and send direct without the draft as long as they knew that the only changes that were captured in the activity were the ones from the preview.  I really like the concept of having all actual activity logged as "Activities".

As mentioned, the delivery log does an *OK* job of reassuring the user that something was done.  It doesn't indicate true success / failure in the sending, but I realize if you use the Outlook method this is impossible.  It's up to the user to ensure they go back if they see a bounced email, etc.

I guess we just have to live with this possibility unless B1UP P&D can include some sort of internal mail client actually tracking the status of the send.  I think SAP needs to have something like this and it's common in very low-end web products, why not SBO?

BUT, outputting as a draft to Outlook and sending is a good way to ensure confidence that the message was already sent.  It just doesn't clearly communicate to other users looking at the document if it truly was sent or not.

I think this is a bit of a gap in SBO.  But thanks again for B1UP, I think it improves SBO so much that I can't recommend SAP Business One without B1UP.
