Insert articles at any part of a BEAS BOM and rearrange ID materials numbers automatically

Hello from Mexico!

We made equipment with massive parts numbers.

We have a lot of BOMs with about 200 at 500 items. Some times we need to insert some materials at specific part of the list (to have them by groups, similar materials, same warehouse location, etc). We want to preserve assignment of ID numbers in 1 by 1 secuence.

But it is not possible at this moment.

Our options are:

1- To insert at the end of the list, the new material with the ID number we want, and then re-arrange manually all IDs from that number to the end, in order to have the material joined with another materials we want, when the list update the ID POS numbers.

2- Delete the whole list and import it again from excel, with the numbers and materials ordered in the way we need.

Both options work very well but are time consumption...

It´ll be really useful for us, to be able to insert a material (a row) at any part of the list (as we can do in all SAP screens), and then re-arrange automatically ID numbers.

  If you set the cursor in this example on pos 17 and insert a new line,
  beas insert the line between the current and next line

  

  I can't see your used beas version. But all new features in this window with beas Version you can see in the change log (beas icon right bottom - activity log)

  Hi Martin!

  Thanks a lot for your fast response!

  Seeing your video at YT, I think we know now where the problem is...

  We have very old BEAS and SAP versions:

  BEAS: 9.1 (7.9) PL:07 HF:3 for HANA

  SAP: Business One 9.1 (9.10.190) PL:09 (32bit) HANA

  Our SAP supplier in Mexico have had some compatibility issues in order to update our versions (they have had to make some simulations and tests, to asure do not to have troubles after implementation of updates).

  We are in contact with them and told us they are about to finish the tests... (additionally they are working hard right now with important changes with our invoicing add-on in order to acomplish new government rules for this year here).

  But thanks to you, now we know that our need have been covered in new beas version... we only have to be patient.
