B1UP as a mandatory add-on
AnsweredWe have B1UP set as a mandatory add-on, and are using it more and more for print and delivery, customisation, validations etc. At the start of a session, it takes between 10-30 seconds to load on our local server, and a bit longer on our overseas servers.
Whilst we have no issue with a small delay as the add-on initialises, we are concerned that, despite being "mandatory", users can still operate the client during that load period, and any window they open will essentially remain B1UP-free for the rest of the session.
My question is: is there a solution to that? Ideally users would wait until they see the add-on has loaded before they start working, but realistically that isn't the case.

Hi Ben,
Unfortunately there is nothing we can do to prevent this since none of our code is running at that time. The best we can offer is to add a validation with event type "When B1UP finishes loading" and add a UF Macro to it that closes down all windows that are open.

Thanks,

Hi Thomas,
No problem, I thought that may be the case. Thank you for your help.
