Identify row to subsequently pass variable to P&D

Good Evening,

 

We are currently working through a project to print labels. We have our label operational but are struggling to get the relevant number of labels to be printed. This number exists on one of our rows. The problem is that it does not always occur on a fixed row or even on the last row. In theory we could use selected or focused but this precludes us from using mass delivery to do a whole batch of labels in one run.

 

So we can pass the number of copies as dynamic syntax, but I am presuming we need something extra. My best thought might be to use line loop to run through the lines and then write the relevant number to a udf, which we can presumably reference with dynamic syntax. Does that sound like the best way to go about it?

  Hi Adam,

  From the description you gave that sounds like a good plan. You can either use dynamic syntax or the SQL: -functionality in the "Copies" field under the Report Action used.
