10000. Copy a calculation from an offer to the item master data as permanent BOM and routing

In companies with project manufactoring it is usual to calculate an offer not knowing off the order.

Not until the order arrive an item is to be created. Now it where useful to copy the calculation from the offer into the item master data.

The item number could, but must not exist.

  Hi Chrisian,

  why do you need the item? You can create the work order directly from the order...

  Hi Martin,

  if I want to produce only one time, sure.

  But the articles, when ordered, should be produced many time from many sales orders for the next ten years.

  In this case I always need to copy the old sales order or Need to put the calculation manually into the new sales order.

  Not so useful as to use the item master data.
