WMS Error (50211) You can not set this item to PMX managed because it has stock in PMX managed warehouse

I have a company with (2) warehouses. Item is only set-up in (1) of these warehouses, it has stock. I am trying to add the other warehouse to this item in order to transfer (move) this stock, but keep getting this error. Do I have to zero all inventory before I can add the other warehouse to the item?

    Hello
    I got similar error:
    (50211) Item FA-S0003706331EK07-ABS: The item has a best before date, but in the inventory the best before date is not set for the inventory total with keys: 40053.
    The same error code, but different text.
    What is the reason? How to fix it?
