Control over Batch number format Planeada

John Treweeks

in Produce, when receipting a finished batch controlled product, it sets the batch number to BC-ProductionOrderNumber. The request is to make this configurable. One prospect wants to use the sales order number instead of the production order number to aid with picking, as the pick shows the sales order number and so they pick that batch. But others want to date the batch so that its human readable as to how old it is from the batch number. Others will want to be able to enter the batch number manually.

    Hi John,

We are currently working on a solution for serial numbers, but it is also planned for batch numbers. With this, the customer has the possibility to configure the structure of the numbers via drag and drop. It will also be possible to enter serial numbers or batch numbers manually or via scanner at the end of production. We have evaluated different cases in advance to ensure that we can cover most cases.

We plan to announce serial numbers in Q1 next year.

Hi, was there any development with this?  is it also planned that batch details can be edited i.e. an expiration date can be entered?

Hi. Any update on this request. We have a customer that decided NOT to go with Cloud Apps for that specific situation.
