BSL - Userevent and Webapps

We are using the below user event to help block material which is very useful

Issue we are now having is that on the webapps user interface the query isn't working, well not in a certain scenario. Our guys access the webapps externally and not through B1>tools>web server>web application version 2.1. I've tried the functionality going through this path and it works which is now leading me to think it's how the external IP is set up. 

Any help would be greatly appreciated
