Question regarding APS sheduling
Hello,
I do struggle to achieve a certain result with APS planning, when using automatic work order sheduling, type forward calculation. I want to forward shedule work orders that consist of 2 or more work sequences (Afo1/Afo2). The sequences run on different resources (R1/R2). To reduce complexity I only want that for one resource (R2) the capacity limits are considered (R1 is set to "don't consider limits"). The resource for which capacity limits should be considerd is the second one in the work sequence (R2/Afo2).
The desired result of the sheduling run is that Afo2 on R2 is sheduled forward according to the ranking set in the APS windows considering the capacity limits of R2. The start time of Afo1 on R1 should then be calculated backwards from the sheduled start time of Afo2 on R2. The sheduled start time of Afo1 should be set to start time of Afo2 minus planned duration of Afo1).
At the moment when I let APS calculate this kind of setup with "forward" the result is that the sheduled starting time of Afo1 is now or the next day. The start of Afo2 is sheduled as desired.
I made a drawing to clarify what I want to accomplish. Is this possible?
Thanks for answers in advance.
Kind Regards,
Patrick

Hi Patrik,
This is middle point calculation. Beas don't support this.
The time critical resource must be the first resource to become this result.Alternative is option "latest as possible". But the result is related to delivery date and don't deliver exactly the result as you described.

Thank you very much. I will look into that.
