Webcall to start a print job

Hi,

Since SAP released HANA and their Service Layer a lot of partner create Fiori Apps for their customers. In some business cases it is so that at the end of the process a document has to be printed. For example if you create deliveries from a Webapp. 

The only way to print those documents is by the server components of B1UP. This is good in some ways but not in all cases because it can take 1 minute till the document is printed. This is not an accepted duration for our customers.

So the best way would be a Webcall to start a print job. This webcall can also be used somewhere else in the B1 environment.

  As mentioned in other post, right now this is not possible to do via service layer as it can only manipulate data... SL do not have a print concept.

  Boyum in general wish to make a print of demand and in the cloud solution with our a Online Services concept, but the technology from SAP is right now not ready to build such a service. Once it is we will re-evaluate the option.
