Possibility to change the Code of a Function Button Respondida

Michael Haak

It would be great if the suggested Code (Number) of a Function Button could be changed.

Background:

2 different Developers are creating 2 different Modules (Fruit-Management and Car-Management)

Each Developer creates 10 Function Buttons (FB-001, FB-002...)

If we transfer both Modules to a new Company, then at least 10 FB are renamed automatically.

This Issue is perfectly solved at the Universal Functions. Each Developer has a "Namespace" and could rename the UF-Code like UF-CAR001, UF-CAR002, etc.

    Hi Michael,

We would suggest that you use the Categories system instead, assigning each developer/module to a specific category.

You can read more about this functionality here https://help.boyum-it.com/B1UP/index.html?configurationcategories.html

Categories are great for grouping / identifying a set of B1UP definitions across any of the types; the 'Overview' feature is especially useful.  I agree with Michael's idea to allow override of the default Function Button identifier.  I override the default ID for UFs and find it a valuable organizational tool. Recommend that this be done consistently for all definitions types.

    Hi Ronni,
    good idea.
So far we have not used the categories yet.
As long as we can not overwrite the numbers, that's a good workaround.
    Thank you very much.
