Item number in tool administration

There is a function in tool administration, Item number, to link an item from our inventory to a tool, so that allow us to allocate tools in the warehouses and it makes stock movements of these tools when there are used. 

This field it is not working in the latest versions and it would be very usefull.

  Hi Luis,

  please open the link again. I inserted the new documentation

  I didn't test this functionality. But check, if you used this in correct way.

  Make this functionality sense for you? I'm happy for feedback and real examples

  Dear Martin,

   

  First of all, it is not working. I did the process as explained and it didn't do any stock transfer from tool warehouse to production warehouse.

   

  Secondly, if this is not advising that tool is not available and it need to do a manual stock transfer after the usage of tool, whats the purpose of this function? Logically, our clients want to know from what location in their warehouse get the tool, if it is available and were to leave it after the manufacturing.
