What happens after I add an installation number to a customer?
RespondidaI'm following the steps in below URL to add new installation numbers to a customer:

But I couldn't understand the effect of this. As far as I can see, after adding an installation number, under "licenses" section there's still just tho old installation number. And the "show offline license" button always shows the same offline license with or without the newly added installation number.
So I was just wondering what exactly is the use of this?

Hello Dave,
This is very helpful especially when the customer requests a new SAP license and the system number changes, we need to modify it to the new number or our license will stop working.
For our partners, sometimes they purchase the license without knowing the installation and system numbers so a dummy number is assigned that needs to be replaced in order for the license to work.
