Refresh formatted search on data load

I have created a field on the Item master data without any table connected to it but placed a formatted search on a edit tekst box. The problem is that when data is loaded the formatted search cannot be executed automaticaly, also when the item number changes, the formatted seach is not refreshed.

We use this quite common as some data like latest production dates, expiry date etc etc is hidden deeper in the SAP system.

SAP has this function but seem to be only running on the lines field inside a sales or purchase document

  Hi Ramon, 

  Thanks for submitting your suggestion.

  You can have this outcome by using a macro, instead of a Formatted Search.

  And then run this macro from a Validation, triggering it from a Data Load event.

  It means the desired outcome can be achieved with the product's current feature set.

  That seems to be a solution !
  Just need to rewrite the query then as it failed converting the nvarchar value for some reason, but on the FMS it runs fine.

  @thomas, your right, but in this case it is on the item master data, so no loop there that slows the entire process.
