Toolbox: Take over the Last Data Record toolbar button to ensure it goes to latest DocEntry and not Latest DocNum

What about a toolbox configuration to "fix" the "Last Data Record" button. I have seen a few customers who make a manual numbered document WAY beyond their automatic document number. So that every single time they push their last data record button it goes to a document from like 2012. Is there a way you could add a toolbox configuration to switch to using "DocEntry" rather than "DocNum"?
