Print & Delivery - Mass Delivery failure
RespondidaI'm configuring a P&D Custom Mass Delivery (a Crystal Report with parameters) and going through testing/tweeking/re-testing my setup. Many times nothing happens when I create a schedule to trigger the delivery. Sometimes just recreating the Report Configuration with the exact same settings corrects whatever issue I was having. When the configuration fails, I often get no notification or log entry to indicate what the problem might be. It is really a tedious hit-and-miss proposition. No entries have ever been made to the Error Log. Is there something I need to do to turn this on? Are there other ways to troubleshoot failed processes?

Hello Randy,
In order to execute the mass Delivery, the Crystal Report has to be created without parameters, what we normally suggest is that you include everything in the query, like 7 days to now (with the GetDate command) or other filters.

I'm a bit confused. Your product provides a way to use parameters, with details on how to use them in your help files. Your response, however, is to tell me that it "has" to be created without parameters. I have 4 reports set up and working properly with 2 parameters each. Troubleshooting during the original setup, however, was very tedious.
In my original post, I was asking for additional troubleshooting tools. Your reply does not address this. Should I assume that there are no additional troubleshooting tools?

If you create parameters then you need to use Dynamic Syntax to populate the values automatically with the document's information, in this case, unfortunatelly we don't provide additional information since Crystal Reports is an SAP tool, not part of Boyum's solutions.
In this case, I suggest you contact your partner for more information.
