SAP dashboards vs Boyum dasboards
RespondidaGood Morning,
First up, I should note that we are using HANA so we do have access to fiori and all the dashboard stuff associated.
As a result of some infrastructure issues, SAP dashboards have never worked for us. We are migrating to a new host so this should soon be resolved but we will move to a version where Boyum dasboards will be working for our hana setup.
It is clear why you would use Boyum dasboards if you are on sql but I am much less clear on the benefits compared to what SAP natively offers with HANA. Without learning both options, I can’t really guess which is best. So can Boyum help out here? Should I forget about the native SAP functionality and focus on learning Boyum dasboards or, with the HANA as our db, are the two so similar that I should just stick with SAP dasboards?
Many thanks

Hi Adam
There is no 100% clear answer here so it of more a matter of preference and what you feel gain you the most benefit.
As we made B1 Dashboard we off cause like the better and our argument for them is that they are more customizable than SAP Fiori dashboard.
The only real drawback compared to the Fiori cockpit of our dashboards is that the can't be used in SAP's Browser Access where you host the client in a Web-browser.
So as one of the developers who made the B1 Dashboards I'm all in on them but again a matter of opinion and personal preference.
But anyone in the community feel free to add drawbacks and advantages of the two

Many thanks. I was aware of the browser access limitation (which is not a concern for us). My concern was that we might lose something massive, perhaps in terms of performance, by not using the HANA/fiori combination. If this is the only thing which we would lose, I think it is clear that we will use the Boyum solution.
