B1UP Calendar Read Only
Can a calendar set as Read Only to specific user?
-
Hi Josh, I think this might help:
- Launch the 'Calendars' option from the SAP main menu. The Calendar overview screen appears.
- Right click on this screen and select 'Make Items Read Only ...' from the B1UP context menu.
- For each of the screen objects to be made read read only, click the OK mode checkbox on the corresponding row. Then select / enter the users to include / exclude from this function becoming read-only
- Repeat for each button the Calendar overview screen that you want to control.
- Click Update to save the 'Read Only Configuration'.
I tested this lightly and found that it disables the indicated button or function on the Calendar Overview screen. By indicating the users / user groups you can make it allow edits / disabled for appropriate users.
You can also enable / disable specific Calendar objects from selected users (by default ALL SAP Super Users have access to Calendars objects).
Not sure if this covers 100% of your need - since it will stop the restricted user from seeing the calendar object definition entirely.
Hope this helps,
Dave Gutman

Hi Dave,
Not really. I would like them to see the objects but disable the drag and drop of the objects within the calendar without needed to create a similar calendar.
