Search features lacking ?
We are new to Boyum, having previously had Coresuite with SAP B1 9.x. We upgraded to SAP 10 and Boyum.
While most items that Boyum does are fantastic, the search is very lacking and all our staff are complaining about it. Search results are complete, though not organized. For example, if I'm searching for a customer, to see a list of their Sales Orders, the results are not listed in any logical way; not by date, nor sales order number.
While I was not a fan of most Coresuite items, their Enterprise Search was excellent. It showed records in order from newest to oldest. Open items were in black font. Closed items were in grey font. Cancelled items were in strikethrough. The results also had a very nice feature where you could hover your mouse over the document number in the results, and a window would pop up that showed a summary of the order.
Screen shots below show similar searches in Coresuite and Boyum.
If there is a way to at least sort the Boyum search results better (newest to oldest) that would be great, though the other features in the CS search are also extremely valuable.

Hi Mark. Welcome to Boyum!
As with everything there are always some trade-offs.
The "Sort Order" is text based hence the visibility issue. This is more apparent in this case as you had 4 digit numbers become 5 digits.
You do have an option to create a custom sort using Boyum which may help. I don't know of any way to create the tool tip on the search grid.

Hi Geoff
Thanks for the note.
Respectfully, software doesn't need to have trade-offs. Software can be better in ALL respects vs. another software package. It's not like speed vs. fuel economy in a car, for example.
Sorting a number based on text is kind of silly, if you'll pardon my opinion. Why wouldn't it sort a number as a number?
B1UP would be an amazing piece of software if the search could be enhanced to be similar to what CS's search was. Don't get me wrong I'm not a Coresuite fan, but their search was exponentially better than the B1UP search (sorry to say).
