    Hi

problem: This is only working, if you use same or older powerbuilder version as beas is compiled.

Current we use Powerbuilder 11.5 (MSSQL) and 12.5 (HANA)

The problem is solved with beas 9.2 PL 6, because we use the current powerbuilder 2017 version.

    Hi Martin,

    I'm using 11.5. Do I have to change for 9.2 pl6?

    Regards,

    John

    Hi Martin,

I'm using trial 12.6. As I understood this version does not work as it should?

    Robert

beas 9.2 PL 5 and older

    HANA = 12.6

    MSSQL = 11.5

beas 9.2 PL 6 and newer: always actual Powerbuilder Version

You must use same or older Powerbuilder version for creating own forms, but you can't use newer Versions.

    Question:

Current we working on different concepts for creating new forms.

Simple: We create a form with 20 fields and you can use it (load data manually and save manually, change text, positions and so on)

More functions: You define a SQL statement and beas create automatically the form and you can change all fields

Complete: You need a pb license but then you can create complex forms in short time

What do you need? Which type of windows do you want to create?

    Hi,

I need to create new forms for use on the terminal.
I would like to create very simple form that will allow simple data
recording by the production staff, but they must be very readable,
i.e. big font and their simple layout, and also contain only the necessary fields.
In addition, I would like to work on standard tables rather than creating my own.

    regards,
    Robert

    Hi Martin,

I just got an offer to extent my support for infomaker to june 2018.
After that I should use Appeon Powerbuilder 2017.

But, if I understand well, I can use Powerbuilder 2017 as of PL6.

    So I better switch now?

Do I have to take Powerbuilder, or will Infomaker do as well?

  • Martin Heigl

    Ho John,

Infomaker is from Appeon too. If functions from infomaker is enough for you, you can use this in future too. It's cheaper

    regards

    Martin
