beas allowing posting into SAP B1 periods marked as "Closing" status
Respondidait appears that beas postings ignore the period status in SAP B1
is there a way to correct this or a suggest protocol to follow so that people will not issue to or receive from or post time to a work order or close a work order if a period status has been changed to Closing in SAP B1?
Otherwise this is a huge bug that needs to be addressed quickly so that companies can safely close their periods.
thanks

Hello David,
We analized this requirement in detail and we found a workarround to cover functionality you need:
SAP has an authorization named "General\Disable DI API Permission check", this parameter has 2 possibles values:
Full Authorization --> It means that DI-API transactions do not check Autorizathions for logged user
No Authorization --> It means that DI-API transactions follow same rules than SAP application.
If you change this parameter to "No Authorization" then you will get expected result, your user will not be able to create an issue or receipt in "closed periods"
Effect of enable this parameter is that you have to give rights to this user for all modules they are going to generate docuements, for example beas generates journal entries when a time receipt is created, it means that this user needs full rights for "financials" module.
I hope it helps you to cover your customer requirement.Regards

Hello
This solution is still valid or for the latest versions something additional applies.
We are implementing it and it also generates an internal error even if you have permissions in all the modules
