I’ve had some very good feedback internally for some feature changes. I agree these are all very valid and make sense to be added / changed – (By the way we are finding these by using this solution ourselves in real world day to day scenariose).
See screenshot attached,
- when you are not on a BP contact email specifically but want to add an Opportunity or start a quote on the fly (like you’re on the phone to them from a call in, or if you have a lead in email but it was perhaps forwarded to you from website submission or agency) can you on the Search screen add under the actions Add Opp and Add Quote (yes these can be got to by drilling down the gold arrow but make sense to shortcut link these from the main screen like you do with activity / service etc.)
- The main Opportunity Remarks box is far too small – this by default in SAP is a large box of text and even the way the ribbon works to “Add Opp” from email which is great but usually there is some sizable text / details and the box is just so small when on the Opportunity screen in CRM4O – perhaps stretch the field across the page or maybe even better, move it to a full tab accessible from a button like General / User fields – this will then allow the sales guy to see all the text there in a big box / zone and most commonly as sales guys update details on the Opp (master leve) they will just keep adding text to the remarks box in threads as it grows (summary notes, special notes taken whilst talking with the client or to remember when they are working with the Opp).
- Seperately I raised a request with Fernando - essentially to be able to create an Activity from any email where there is not an associated link / contact join with it doing the auto transfers of details and attachments like it does for create Activity when you are on a contact linked - the only difference being that when it's non-linked to ask / prompt for BP selection (which it does already) but with this route its a blank activity so you would have to copy / paste the text and the attachments haven't been passed through. There are loads of scenarios for this case, most common one is when sales employees of the company (or finance / purchasing etc.) have emailed a person then they want to link that sent email as an activity to a BP and a document or Opportunity and there could have been some attachments like contract, quotes, spreadsheet - this is key detail to get linked into SAP.
