B1 Document Manager - Scanning Feature
Not plannedIt would be nice if there was a scanning option that works like this:
- New “Scan” button on the Attachments tab
- Click the button – message pops up: “Place document on scanner xyz” (xyz: Scanner configured in the B1 Up Scanning setup – maybe have scanner linked to a user?). Buttons for OK and Cancel underneath message.
- Click OK – document is scanned, turned into a pdf and added to the Attachments. The name of the PDF could be something like TTTT-NNNN-SSS where TTTT = SAP table name (OPUR for AP Invoice), NNNN is Document Number (so 30000 in above example) and SSS is a sequential number starting at 001.
I think there might be something similar already available from someone in the USA, but this strikes me as a great enhancement to B1 Up, and when you guys do stuff, it tends to work easily and reliably, like your new Intercompany trading module.

I'm afraid this is beyond the scope of what we want to do with B1 Document Manager
