Moneris has been acquired by Vantiv back in 2016/17.
We contacted Moneris directly to figure out whether this would affect our integration, and was informed that it will only affect Moneris US customers.
Moneris Canada has not been aqcuired and their API will not be affected. They will stay as an independant company with no changes to functionality.
Moneris US customers will be transferred to the Vantiv platform, and after the 31st of August 2018 the Moneris US API will be disabled..
This change is essentially like switching to a new gateway - all existing cards will no longer work and will need to be input again, previous transaction history will not be available and further processing won't be possible.
We strongly suggest for US customers to take a look at some of our alternative US gateways.
Document statuses and transaction history inside iPayment will not be affected, but documents authorized or settled using tokens in the old system will no longer be refundable after the cut-off date.
