Make sure you assign a Produce / Operator license to your operators. Only operators with a valid Produce / Operator license can work in Produce / Operator.
Adding an operator
To register a new operator in Produce, click Add new > Operator in the top right corner of the screen, or hit Add operator on the operator list page (see below).
The Create operator page will be displayed.
Provide the operator's name and card number for the Produce / Operator login.
When the operator is created, it can be updated in the Operators menu entry of the Produce / Manager module.
Operator list
To display the list of operators, select Operators from the main menu on the left.
Press Add operator to add a new element to the list, or click the options (°°°) icon on the right to edit an operator's details or delete an item. You can do the same by selecting an operator from the list which will take you to the operator details page.
Operator details
The operator details page is shown in the screenshot below:
It contains the following details for the operator:
- First name, middle name, last name - Editable. Please note that the middle name is not shown in the page header and the tab label.
- Card number - Editable. Enter here the card number that the operator will need to log in to Produce / Operator.
- Resource visibility - Select the resources from the dropdown that the given operator will have access to Produce / Operator. In Produce / Operator the All operations list and the Filter by resource functionality will show only those operations that use the resources specified in the Resource visibility field on the operator details page. If you leave this field empty, the employee will see all operations in the All operations list of Produce / Operator.
- Time change allowed - A pair of radio buttons where you can choose whether the operator can change the actual time used for an operation in PDC Steps 3 and 5. By default, the Time change allowed: Yes radio button is selected for all operators. This means that an operator can make changes to the time value unless you, as their manager select the Time change allowed: No radio button on their details page, and save the page. The change will take effect when the operator starts processing the next operation in Produce / Operator.
- Multiple operations allowed - A pair of radio buttons where you can choose whether the operator can work on more than one operation at a time. The default setting is Yes for all operators. If you select the No option on an operator's detail page, then the given operator cannot start a new operation until they complete or partially complete any operation that they have been working on.
