If you have doubts whether the synchronization between Netronic Manufacturing and SAP Business One works properly, you can easily perform a quick test: Change some simple entity in SAP Business One, then see if the entity gets updated in Netronic Manufacturing, and vice versa.
While data changed in SAP Business One is put into a queue in Netronic Manufacturing to get it updated, changes made in Netronic Manufacturing are passed on directly to SAP Business One, without involving a queue.
Simple entities you can use for easy testing include
- Operators (= Employees in SAP Business One)
- Items
- Resources
- Operations (= Route stages in SAP Business One)
To test, go through the following simple steps with any of the above entities:
- Change the entity in SAP Business One.
- Check if the entity has got updated accordingly in Netronic Manufacturing (refresh the entity master data page).
- Change the entity in Netronic Manufacturing.
- Check if the entity has got updated accordingly in SAP Business One.
If the updates are not performed as expected, that may be a sign of some synchronization issue. If the issue persists, contact the Support Team.
Below, you can see examples of such a test with two entities: first an operator, then an item. The procedure is the same with resources or operations (= route stages in SAP Business Once terminology).
Example 1: Test with an operator (= employee) using Inspect / Manager or Produce / Manager
1. The operator master data in Inspect / Manager before starting with the test steps:
2. The corresponding employee master data changed in SAP Business One:
3. The change is flagged in Inspect / Manager by a yellow banner:
4. After refreshing the operator’s page, the updated data is shown in Inspect / Manager:
5. Changing the operator’s first name in Inspect / Manager:
6. The employee master data is updated accordingly in SAP Business One:
2. Test with an item using Build
1.The item master data in Build before starting with the test steps:
2. The corresponding item master data changed in SAP Business One:
3. The change is flagged in Build by a yellow banner:
4. After refreshing the item’s page, the updated data is shown in Build:
5. Changing the item’s name in Build:
6. The item master data is updated accordingly in SAP Business One:
