- In this article I'm going to show you how to install Beas web app with XAMPP in details description.
- If you need to install please follow these steps which are described below.
- We recommend using XAMPP becuase it has the most stable connection and you can avoid problems with lost connection etc
- Download and install XAMPP - Download here
- Before you will continue with Apache, you will need to change port number
- Please follow this guide:
Change port number for Apache
- Start Apache services - when you'll run XAMPP as admin you can install Apache services which can be started with windows (left side)
- You can start automatically with windows – open config and set Apache
- Open Beas Manage Server – Adminstration - Utilities
- Create Beas services – click on new
- Set HTML server and choose XAMPP
- Click Ok
- Will be created Internal Connector – and your localhost url (this can be used in the Server) When you'll login from other machine to server, you have to use different url address – we will show below
- Into Url you have to add the port number which you have created for Apache
- Set Protocol Directory – usually temp folder
- Set Project Directory – here use your own path
- Click on Development – check if terminal is Active – then click on Edit
- Here check if is Active and Visible
- Then Click on Update – services will be created – some procedures can be appeared just confirm that
- Create second services - it better use two services than everything in one – you will avoid problems with connections
- Set Planned Activities
- Set Common Interfaces
- Set Protocol Directory, Project Directory and Servicepool (same as previous services)
- Now you can see that Beas services are running (if not start or restart manually) and you can test it by click on the arrow next to the field Url
- Connection to server from different workstation
- Check your IP adderess on the server
- Open browser in different Workstation and use url address which is in the field Url, but then replace the IP address with IP which is obtain in previous step
